离开Delhi, 进入Rajahstan. Mandawa是我们留宿的第一个小镇。 Mandawa有很多废弃的havelis。 这么多的havelis，Mandawa想必曾经也有一段很繁华的过去。 像被世界遗忘一样， 现在的Mandawa有一种淡淡的，幽幽的，无伤大雅的‘荒凉‘味道. 这个小镇的人，以印度的标准，算很少。废弃的havelis 感觉还比人来的多。
我们参观了其中的一间haveli，有点像步入时间的隧道。那里的空间给人一种很奇怪的感觉- 像有什么看不到的东西潜伏在那里-maybe it is the ghost of yesterday 。。 。
JW 后来告述我，有人在其中一个房间贩卖屋子以前主人的日用品， 照片和信件，很奇怪哦，人有的时候就是喜欢窥探别人的回忆（其实有时候我也喜欢， 可能就是喜欢看人曾经怎么生活）。 我想如果不是‘人去楼空‘的这份荒芜，这些havelis可能还没有那么的有味道。
our guesthouse另一个为Mandawa加分的地方是我们住的旅社-一间改建过的美丽haveli。 外墙很loud and colourful ,完全没有废弃haveli的斑驳。房间里还有小阁楼。以空间感而言，绝对值5 stars。 再加上还有一个把天空‘framed ‘ 起来的院子。我喜欢！

Mandawa还有一间高级酒店- 我们不但在这里喝了在印度唯一一次的mango lassi （因为其实不是芒果季节），在它的池畔练了yoga. ...
。。。Haveli (Urdu: حویلی, Hindi: हवेली) is the term used for a private residence in Pakistan and North India. The word haveli is of Persian origin, meaning "an enclosed place".

actually Mandawa is almost like a deserted ghost town now i thk back.. and who says ghost town must be a dreadful one, this is instead a very 'human scaled' and comfy feel little ghost town in the desert..i miss Mandawa
